PRACTICAL MAGIC 2 COMPETITION — FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. PROMOTER
1.1 James Cosmetics Pty Ltd (ABN 48 617 082 292), 18 Ashmore Road, Bundall QLD 4217, Australia.
1.2 By entering, each entrant agrees to these terms and conditions.
2. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD
The competition opens at 12:00pm AEST on Tuesday 1 September 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Wednesday 2 September 2026. Entries received outside this period are invalid.
3. ELIGIBILITY
Open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Each winner's nominated guest must also be 18 years or over. Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected with the promotion are ineligible. Entry is free and no purchase is required.
4. HOW TO ENTER
During the promotional period, submit the competition form with the entrant's full name, valid email address, the guest's full name, and an answer explaining why the entrant and their bestie should win. Entrants must have permission to provide their guest's details. One entry per person. Incomplete, illegible, automated, fraudulent or non-compliant entries may be disqualified.
5. JUDGING
This is a game of skill and chance plays no part. Entries will be judged on originality, creativity, relevance, enthusiasm and connection to the competition theme. Judging will take place on Thursday 3 September 2026 at the Promoter's premises. At least five winners will be selected, and the Promoter may award additional double passes. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. PRIZE
Each winner receives one double pass admitting the winner and one guest to the James Cosmetics private screening of Practical Magic 2 at HOTA — Home of the Arts, Gold Coast, on Thursday 10 September 2026. Arrival is 6:30pm AEST. Admission is for two people only. Travel, parking, accommodation and other incidental costs are not included. As private invitations, the passes do not have a readily ascertainable retail value. The prize is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash and must not be sold. Venue entry conditions apply.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION
Winners will be notified by 12:00pm AEST on Friday 4 September 2026 using the email address supplied with their entry. Genuine winner emails will come only from courtney.mangan@jamescosmetics.com. The Promoter will never request payment or banking details. Winners must RSVP by 9:00am AEST on Monday 7 September 2026. If a winner does not respond by the deadline, is ineligible or cannot attend, the prize may be forfeited and another winner selected. Proof of identity and age may be required.
8. EVENT CHANGES OR CANCELLATION
Event details may change for reasons beyond the Promoter's control. If the screening is cancelled and no suitable substitute is available, the Promoter may cancel the competition or prize without a cash replacement, subject to applicable law and consumer rights.
9. PRIVACY
Personal information will be used to administer and judge the competition, contact entrants, confirm eligibility and deliver prizes. See the James Cosmetics Privacy Policy at /pages/privacy-policy. Entry does not automatically subscribe an entrant to marketing; marketing will be sent only where separate consent is provided. 10. GENERAL
The Promoter may disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry process or breach these terms. The Promoter is not responsible for technical failures or lost, delayed or misdirected entries. Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for loss, injury or damage arising from participation or use of the prize. HOTA, the film distributor and social media platforms are not sponsors or administrators of this promotion. Queensland law applies.
